Fill my dreams with color and light, God.
Let me float up beside Your throne.
When You’re a river I dream of diving and swimming,
But I’m content to be some moss on a stone.
When You’re a mountain I dream of the summit,
But I’ll find my joy as the sedge for a goat.
When You’re a fire I dream of warming my bones,
But just let me be the tinder or coals.
When You’re the ocean I’m in the sun and the waves,
But I’m just as ready to be Your minnow.
In my dreaming I’m satisfied with what and where You have me.
So wake me, a sleeper, and let Your glory be known.
